VACUDEST vacuum distillation systems ensure safe separation of substances in wastewater from the chemical/pharmaceutical industry

The world of industry is constantly facing new challenges. This includes ensuring higher product quality in the shortest possible time. The solution: digitalisation and automation, or in short: Industry 4.0. The connection between the digital and real worlds is a powerful tool for using resources efficiently and making industry more sustainable. These advantages apply not only to production-relevant processes, but also to indispensable processes accompanying production, such as industrial process water treatment.

This is why H2O GmbH has further developed its VACUDEST vacuum distillation systems for the treatment of wastewater from the chemical-pharmaceutical industry and is presenting the first VACUDEST wastewater treatment system with access to Industrie4.0 at ACHEMA in Hall 9.1, Stand D21.

The VACUDEST system with the new "Smart Service Cockpits" provides users with a new quality of process monitoring for wastewater treatment directly on the machine control.

Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) ensure greater process reliability

The term "Industrial Internet of Things" (IIoT) refers to the process of collecting huge amounts of data from intelligently networked machines in industry. Those who evaluate, understand and efficiently use this data benefit from a continuous optimisation cycle and thus from high system availability and optimum machine performance with less wear.

For the VACUDEST vacuum distillation systems, this means: users not only get an overview of the performance of their water treatment through these networked Smart Service Cockpits; through the permanent condition monitoring and the continuous optimisation suggestions, a long-lasting high system availability with maximum machine efficiency and less downtime can be achieved through predictive maintenance. The result: more process reliability, lower operating costs, less stress.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Optimum system availability and consistently high reprocessing performance
  • Time and operating cost savings through an optimised system
  • Service cost savings through preventive corrective measures
  • Easily accessible overview of the achievement of the expected savings of the VACUDEST

Safe, efficient, compact: vacuum distillation systems ensure reliable separation of substances

Vacuum distillation systems use the simple principle of physical substance separation according to boiling point differences. This means: active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), medicines, hormones, trace substances, pesticide effluents, native oils and emulsifiers, refractory COD, PFAS, non-polar organic substances and many more remain in the evaporation residue - they are safely separated thanks to innovative and unique technologies from H2O GmbH such as the Clearcat condensation stage. Thus, in one treatment step, up to 98% reusable water is produced from 100% wastewater, which can be used e.g. for rinsing production plants, and only 2% residue. Due to these savings, the investment in a vacuum distillation system usually pays for itself in less than 2 years.

Interested parties can see the VACUDEST system for themselves at the ACHEMA trade fair: the experts from H2O GmbH will be in Frankfurt from 22-26 August 2022 in Hall 9.1, Stand D21.
