Application limits of vacuum distillation

For numerous process water classes, vacuum distillation is considered the best available technology (BAT) and is already helping companies worldwide to achieve wastewater-free production.

However, vacuum distillation also has its application limits. For small wastewater volumes of less than 100 cubic metres per year, disposal is usually the more cost-effective option. Without intensive pre-treatment certain chemical compounds can be treated less well. These include softeners, latex, varnishes, waxes or resins. Such compounds tend to form hardly soluble deposits in the evaporator. If it turns out in a project that such substances are present and technical difficulties are to be expected later, we will advise you on the safest and best solution - even if it is not from our company. This saves you and us valuable time. We are not interested in selling you a machine. We sell you satisfaction.
